The Clear the List initiative is a powerful way to support both teachers and students by helping provide the tools and resources needed for a successful school year. As a semi-retired educator, I’ve witnessed firsthand just how much of their own money teachers spend to create engaging, well-equipped classrooms and meet the diverse needs of their students. From basic supplies to specialized learning tools, these items often come out of educators’ pockets. By helping clear a teacher’s list, we’re not just lightening their financial burden—we’re investing directly in our children’s learning environments and showing our appreciation for those who give so much.

Teachers should not have to spend tons of their own money to make their classroom a vibrant and inviting space for students, but they do. This has not changed since I landed my first teaching job in 1987! Continued cuts to education have only increased the need. Let’s use the power of the internet to help some educators out.
